Originally from South Africa, I have spent much of my life exploring the vast and remote landscapes that I now proudly showcase to my guests.
My love affair with wildlife started at an age when most kids were busy keeping goldfish alive. It was with my mother and brothers that I embarked on countless safaris, hurtling through the wilds of Africa in our trusty (if slightly rusty) Volkswagen Kombi.I was captivated by the charm and mystery of the animal kingdom. These early adventures germinated the seed of passion that has since blossomed into Highborn Safari Adventures.
Becoming a professional field guide ten years ago was a turning point in my life. This career allowed me to marry my twin passions—wildlife observation and photography. Each journey is accompanied by a camera to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moments that the wild has to offer. These experiences have not only shaped my professional narrative but have also played a significant role in personal development—instilling a competitive spirit and a relentless pursuit of knowledge about the natural world and the perfect picture.
Established in 2023, Highborn Safari Adventures was inspired by over a decade in the hospitality industry as a professional safari guide. I chose the name “Highborn” to reflect our mission of offering experiences fit for royalty—ensuring that our guests feel a profound sense of wonder while observing the majestic animals of the African savannah.
